What Screams America

I don’t care what anyone says…

Homemade burgers on the grill, baked beans, and a beautiful fresh fruit salad are the (food) definition of America.

And when a meal looks and tastes like this, I’m so alright with that 😉

What food screams America to you? Is there something that — when traveling — you crave more than anything else?

Since I’m a meat-eater, I’d have to say burgers, brats (holla, Wisconsin!), and chicken on the grill, along with all the ‘ol classics — potato salad, fresh fruit, and corn on the cob — make me think of my mother land.

As for food I crave when I’m traveling, there’s nothing that I crave every single time I travel. It usually depends on where I go and how long I’m there!

About ciaotochow

ciao to chow: initially created as a little spot on the web devoted to the "chow" I find while studying abroad in Rome. But really, ciao to chow is about my life: the day-to-day experiences, funny stories, moments of laughter, and the food...that continue to inspire me and make me grateful for each new day.
